Janea Cox's daughter Haleigh, 7, suffers from Lennox Gastaux Syndrome, a form of severe epilepsy. Georgia's medical marijuana law, authored by State Rep. Allen Peake, bears her name. Haleigh's Hope Act legalizes the possession of cannabis oil for people suffering from a limited number of illnesses, but does not allow for in-state cultivation. The Coxes must still travel to Colorado to obtain the medical marijuana used to treat Haleigh.
